We are often told "You have to see it to believe it". Well, here is our attempt to help you "see" the Mahabharat Mountain Region. We hope these pictures help you believe how beautiful the people are, how miraculous the land is, and how far your support can go to enhance the quality of life of the families who live there.

Scroll over the images below for captions.
A crop called Papar used to make flour.
A Nepali man wearing traditional dress.
A typical kitchen. Wouldn't a new Wolf Stove be great!
Our porters crossing the river.
Women harvesting rice.
A typical road. This is our truck. We had to get out to make the hill.
A young girl with her sisters.
A Nepali woman and her baby.
A view of Everest from a small plane.

The second leg of Fran's trip was spent trekking through the Mahabharet Mountain Region. Throughout this trek Fran visited potential new project sites as well as old project sites. Most importantly, however, Fran spent time with the beautiful villagers who call this Region their home. Among these villagers are many NSP students. We would like to introduce you to these young leaders!
When Fran returns from her trip she will write a detailed update on what to expect from NSP this coming year in terms of projects and development. Stay tuned!

Fran Lloyd, Executive Director of NSP is in Nepal! While Fran has traveled to Nepal many times with NSP, her new role as Executive Director requires a different level of relationship with the NSP Nepal Board of Directors. It was very important to the Canadian Board of Directors that Fran deepen her relationship with the people working so hard in Nepal to support NSP. For the past three months Fran has been having monthly (and often weekly) SKYPE calls with members of the NSP Nepal Board of Directors. It was now time to say Namaste in person! Fran’s first stop, NSP Nepal headquarters! Meet the NSP Board of Directors (right). Without these hard working, passionate, dedicated, and intelligent people, NSP would not be possible!

Stay tuned for more details about Fran’s trip!
